Linocut Prints
I endeavour to use photos I have taken or sketches that I have done for source material for my artwork. I then complete a number of drawings to explore the quality of line and tone and composition. The image is then transferred onto the printing block. Throughout the carving process, I do a number of test prints to check on the development of lines, shapes and texture created. The aim is to keep the same expressive quality found in the original sketches.
